Some things to know first:- Atoms contain three main types of particles: electrons, protons, and neutrons.
- Elements on the periodic table have symbols. The symbols are a capital letter (like C for carbon) or a capital letter followed by a lower-case letter (like Be for beryllium).
- Each element has a unique atomic number (the numbers above the symbols). The atomic number of Carbon, C, is 6.
- There are 26 letters in the alphabet, so we are only looking at the first 26 elements on the periodic table for this game.
- Find the number that corresponds to the first letter of your name (A=1, B=2, C=3...)
- Next, find the element on the periodic table with that atomic number.
